arrowUSEFUL INFORMATION FOR TEMPORARY STAFF

Welcome to Bentley Associates working with Summers By Two. When you register for temporary work we will need to obtain certain information, test your relevant skills and provide you with a contract for services. Some of the information such as checking your passport is required by law. Once registered we will attempt to find you suitable assignments. To maintain the high standards of Bentley Associates we will expect you to comply with the following simple requirements.

DRESS CODE
Always dress appropriately and to a high standard. Also be aware of changing weather conditions. Travelling on public transport can be particularly uncomfortable at certain times of the year.

PUNCTUALITY
Always leave sufficient time, be aware the transport system in London runs at full capacity for most of the time. Never rely on the bus or train that only just gets you there in time. It is useful to invest in an A-Z.

SICKNESS
In the unlikely event of being unwell please let us know immediately, certainly by 08:30 in the morning. Before 08:30 you can contact your Temporary Manager on their mobile.

PHONE CALLS, EMAIL AND THE INTERNET
You should not use your mobile phone on the client’s premises, turn it off when you arrive and only check it during breaks and at lunchtime. The same applies to the Internet and email. Do not use the client’s phone system, email and Internet for personal use.

LUNCH AND OTHER BREAKS
Lunch and other breaks should be taken as directed by the client. Do not try to avoid taking them and then expect to be paid.

TIMESHEETS
Timesheets can be printed from our website. They should be signed by the client and either faxed or scanned and emailed to us by close of business on Friday. Failure to do so will result in your pay being delayed until the following week.

HOLIDAY PAY
You will start accruing holiday pay from the date your first assignment starts. For full details contact your Temporary Manager

AWR (AGENCY WORKERS REGULATIONS)
AWR came into force in October 2011. This will be explained to you at your interview.

AND FINALLY
Many of our temporary workers have been with us for years, others return time after time from their travels or as their situations change. The success of our agency depends on people like them who have helped build our brand. You can now join them and continue in our success by adhering to the few simple guidelines set out above.
